Running

"Then one day, for no apparent reason, I started running." - Forrest Gump

And once I started I couldn't stop. I've completed 13 marathons and one ultra-marathon. Since 1981 I've been keeping track of my mileage with the goal of running the equivalent of around the world (24,902 miles) before I hang up the shoes.

Mission Accomplished ... On July 18, 2005 at 8:20 AM on Springlake Way in Baltimore, Maryland, I completed mile 24,902.  8,837 days it took. Call me Magellan  =8^) .............

The Dead Runners' Society, a virtual running club, has a pretty cool site and for general running information, check out The Running Page.

But for the past couple of years, I've foregone serious running and taken up hashing, the lunatic fringe of running. The Hash House Harriers is a club for drinkers with a running problem. These wankers really know how to party and manage to turn the drudgery of running into a celebration of life. And beer. The beer is important.

We're not here for a long time -

We're here for a good time!
